8This one looks more true to real life...
I don’t think Sterling can be had for Naylor, and the Pirates just traded for Cook in July…
Problem is Pirates have to get a left handed masher... They don't have one and OF is a position that the Rays are supposedly in the market for. Plus if they move Lowe, they would likely move Diaz... I wouldn't be surprised to see Cook get a way better chance with the Rays to get MLB at bats.... Ps. You almost have not right to say, they just traded for someone when you constantly do that yourself... lol You can't 100% deny that one
I like the pitchers in this trade for the Rays but neither position player does much for me. I’ll still give it a thumbs up though because of the pitchers.
What position players would you want from the other two teams that have a value around 2ish?
LOL. I see what you’re doing there. Forcing me into a trade on your terms. Gun to head, my preference would be to have Cleveland send the Rays R.Arias and then have Pitt send a $2MM value prospect to Cleveland.
So essentially it would be the younger Arias going to the Rays then sending the prospect you would have gotten from the Pirates to Cleveland instead... That does make some sense... I just don't know yet where Cleveland actually ranks him, but if it's for one of the MLB ready RH bats they have, I wouldn't say no on paper...
Exactly. The Rays are building for the future, a future that starts in 2026 when C.Simpson, C.Williams, X.Isaac, B.Taylor, T.Morgen and others are called up. Rays won't want to waste trade capital on guys who are going to be replaced when the prospects get the call. 2025 isn't going to be the best of years for the Rays.
