6I doubt the Rays trade Springs before the Deadline.
If the Orioles are trading Kjerstad, it's for premium pitching not a rental
Springs is a top arm when healthy and he’s under contract for two years plus an option (so not a rental).
Yeah, he had the best xFIP in the majors before he got hurt. Agree, he's a good arm on a good contract.
Springs has 3 years or control, and is a top 30 pitcher when healthy. And this is more Heston for Yandy.
The GM in me agrees, the owner in me disagrees. If he gets hurt, Stu is out $20MM. I think Stu might rid any contract over $5M or so. There's no TV contract to sell anymore, and no fans that need to be kept happy.
