In the event that terms can't be met to include Jorge Barrosa or Alek Thomas in a Montgomery deal... I believe the A's should gamble a chunk of payroll on a Montgomery bounce-back. AZ gets $18 MM in salary relief and a power arm they can develop (probably in the bullpen).
