4Evans isn’t the kind of pitcher the Rays are typically interested in because he lacks high end stuff. I don’t think they would have any interest. Plus, Seattle arguably needs Evans a lot more than the Rays, who are probably looking to trade 1-2 pitchers this offseason as is.
I don't see Brandon Lowe being traded for this valuation. The Rays seek out low acquisition statcast darlings. They certainly don't trade 2 years of them for the valuation of a decent middle reliever. BLowe was in the 85th percentile of xwOBA and is extremely affordable. I don't see him being moved for this value.
We will see. From what I can find out online, the Rays earn about $80MM from stadium revenue each year. If they are forced to play at a minor league stadium all year, I would assume they lose more than half of that $80MM (of course they will get some back from revenue sharing). Long story short, I can see them trading Lowe for payroll savings, but only if they get a high quality prospect in return.
Any idea if they have catastrophe insurance? I know very little about it, but was once approached about it. I just have an umbrella insurance on my business, but if something happens to the building and we have to relocate, I don't think I recoup any of the potential profits that are lost. MLB has a hell of a lot of contingency plans. I'd bet there has always been a plan if a team lost it's stadium to a fire/earthquake/terrorist etc. Perhaps it's just the other 29 organizations sharing additional profits? We saw 4 years ago that MLB can turn a profit without selling a single ticket (I assume, because they could have just canceled the season). Maybe the Rays won't be as poor as I previously thought. But either way, BLowe is a top 8 Ray all time, and I hope they don't repeat the Zobrist mistake again. If they can't get a premier prospect, I have zero interest in trading away the best power 2nd baseman to ever play this game.
