5Down vote for the A's. I'm not a fan of Montes (at that price point) and I don't believe Evans is anything more than a back-end SP; which the A's have plenty of.
Kind of funny you feel like that when this was purposed to Mariners fans they almost universally hate it because they don’t want to give up Montes because they see him as basically future Brent Rooker.
Also Arroyo was the Mariners best Minor Leaguer this past year and if it wasn’t for all the higher profiled minor league infielders in the Mariners system he would probably be untouchable for me in trade talks.
I agree that Arroyo is an ideal trade chip for the Mariners.
Current Rooker needed 5 years and 3 teams after a successful stint in High-A before the A's picked him up off the waiver wire before the 2023 season. Seattle's current rotation won't be around if Montes follows a similar timeline.
