I think that the angels are gonna “go for it” next year. Donovan would play a utility role alongside rengifo to cover the holes of an often-injured lineup. I think adding a platoon LF like Jesse Winker and a trustworthy RF in a guy like Santander could make this lineup legit. With that being said, the rotation loses a high-upside arm in Detmers. This would require Arte Moreno to open his pockets to fill the rotation which all baseball fans know is unlikely. There is potential to turn this team into a fringe wild card contender next year as long as the Angels front office can lure some free agent talent and make the necessary moves to fill their gaping holes.
