Rooker is the right handed bat the Guardians need. He had played in the outfield some this year for Oakland and this has been his most consistent year. Chourio is a top 100 prospect so he is a building block for the Athletics going forward. They aren't going to have a lot of money especially with the attendance they are getting right now, so this might be the time to sell high on Rooker.

I agree with the Guardians putting in an offer for Rooker, but no way would they have added Chourio... plus they are gonna want the moon for Humphries. IF Chourio was available, Cleveland would have gotten Arozarena... (Ps. The Cleveland group has Chourio and Aiden Smifh ranked about the same).

Adding a 170 wRC+ bat on a league minimum salary = achieving lunar orbit.

Down vote for the A's. They're getting full Revenue Sharing, National TV money, and they're still getting a chunk of Regional TV money. They have no guaranteed dollars on the books in 2025 and a small arbitration class that could get smaller by the deadline. They can afford to pay Rooker's Arb-1 salary.
