I make this trade just to show my perceived ridiculousness of BLowe's value. He's a 150 wRC+ 2B on par with the likes of Altuve and Semien when he's healthy, and right now, he's healthy. He has 3 very affordable years, and only makes $25M in that time. Graterol is a very meh reliever that's hasn't pitched in a game this year. Graterol is going to make about half of Lowe's salary over the next 3 years, and his 5 years in the league has accrued barely more fWAR than Lowe's fWAR this month! Jon, BLowe has to have a lot more value than this, right? He's freaking elite, but hurt often. That's doable on an $8M salary. How the eff does he only have Graterols value!!!

He's now at 15.8 per our latest update. But otherwise, the answer is obvious: he cannot stay healthy. The best predictor of future injury risk is previous injury history, and it's there for all to see.
LOL. And here I was all prepared to say "What the hell Shaq...."
I say "what the hell" every time I see a trade proposal on here for BLowe, and it's for some dude that wouldn't make the Rays top 10 prospects. I have to understand why 3 years of him (on options, so even more valuable!) is worth so little.
