I’m curious…. Do Yankee fans not know the Rays won’t trade Rays players to the Yankees? This trade just isn’t happening.

Eh. I think every team typically prefers to trade outside of division, but Rays and yanks aren't the same as yanks and sox who literally won't do significant deals. If the value is right on both sides these guys would get something done.
Except that in the history of the Rays' franchise they have never traded a player of any significance to the Yankees. A couple cash consideration trades and that's it.
