Arozarena is alotted $22M in future value. That's so far off. Arozarena has a 160 wRC+ the last 2 months. ZiPS thinks he's a 125 wRC+ bat and worth 1.2 fWAR for just the rest of this year. Steamer is almost exactly the same. That's approximately half of Aroz's $22M FV in just the last 60 games of this season. I guess this means this site is only expecting 1 WAR over the remaining 2 years of Randy's contract? Asinine. That's almost 5 fWAR less than ZiPS predicts over that period. We'll see in the next week when he's traded, but the Dodgers aren't seeking him out because they think they're penny pinchers. Arozarena will make about $25M the next 2.5 years, and is projected for around 6 WAR. That doesn't equal $7M in FV. That's a lot closer to the $30M in value I am trading him for here.

Agreed overall. There is almost no chance they trade him at the Deadline for a $7MM return that consists of mid-tier prospects (which is all I see on BTV day after day). If $7MM is the best the Rays can get for him, they will hold him for another year. I don't think the Rays will see Rushing as a catcher to their standards though.
