The valuation on Poche is wrong in my opinion. Poche's ERA was a run and a half less than his FIP last year, and is a run and a half less than his FIP this year. As an extreme fly ball pitcher, his lack of K in 2024 is concerning, but not to make a 1 fWAR reliever last year worthless this year while rocking a 3 ERA and a 4 FIP and xERA. I think both teams would be pleased with this result. Pennington is a multi inning reliever that strikes out a ton of guys with a 34 K% in AAA but walking only about 10% of them. I'm sure he's caught some scout's eyes.

It's being driven by his 4.81 FIP, which is the highest it's ever been for him. His statcast numbers are also not great (.313 xwOBA, which is below average for a reliever).
