3M's give up a lot of talent but Montes can be traded due to Robert. Robert can rotate between RF and DH, Aroz takes over LF. Lowe can rotate between 2nd and DH. Bliss and Moore can help back up 2nd. Raley rotates between OF and 1st. Robles is also a backup OF. Haniger is cut loose. Kopech pushes Stanek to the 6th or 7th inning. Ray's replace Lowe with Polanco who could be traded. Canzone can grow and be better for next year. Get a borderline top 100 prospect and another high upside prospect. Whitesox get 2x top 50 prospects as well as another 2 top 10 to 15 prospects for their system. Both with good upside
Celesten could be moved to Whitesox and Ford could be moved to Ray's
Couple of thoughts from the Rays side: (1) Rays are unlikely to trade Aroz at a $7MM valuation. He was worth $33MM in the offseason because he hits 125ish wRC+ every year at the plate and he’s probably going to hit that level again this year after starting the year with a miserable 37 wRC+ through April 30th. Since May 1st he has hit 140 wRC+ and raised his season wRC+ to 107 wRC+. He’s also under control for 2 more years, so there’s no “need” to trade him. (2) B.Lowe is the least likely to be traded among Aroz, Diaz, Paredes and Lowe. He’s hitting 137 wRC+ on the year and on pace for 3 fWAR. He put up 2.9 fWAR last year. He’s the best hitter the Rays have and he’s one of their few good lefty bats. I don’t think he’s going anywhere. (3) Canzone is a 4th outfielder. Rays don’t need a 4th outfielder. More to the point, Rays don’t trade for guys with the intent of flipping them. He won’t be of interest to the Rays. Rays say no to this trade.
