I don’t think there’s even a remote possibility that Pittsburg agrees to this trade but if they do it’s a complete no-brainer for the Rays.

Pirates are a half game out of the WC spot, have 2nd worst production out of CF, and the 4th worst production out of 2nd base. Bart has done a nice job for them, and their P are comfortable with him. They won't want a rental at CF or 2b, but won't want to part with any top talent or prospect. If they make a move, this is the type of move I see. Buy low on a 2b prospect, get a quality but flawed thus undervalued CF, and give up a C and a couple middle of the road prospects. I think it works well for both clubs.
As a Pirate fan I actually really like this deal. How long is Siri controlled?
3.5 years. So 4 years in the postseason.
