Cleveland has no need for Adames. Cleveland isn't going to trade most of their top prospects for short term assets. That is not how the Guardians operate. An easy no for Cleveland.

A very easy no thanks from the Brewers too. The very last guy the Brewers would want in a trade of this magnitude is Valera, an outfielder. They wouldn't want Rocchio (.234/.294 at AAA). Espino is too far away to help. No way they'd trade Adames much less Burnes/Adames for this weak package.

Again, you clearly don't know what you're talking about and using small samples makes your motive look shady. Rocchio is 21 and has less than 130 AAA AB's. How about you look at his AA numbers or the numbers he posted last season. He's a consensus top 100 prospect and an incredibly good defensive SS. He's pretty much profiling the way Lindor did so nice try. Espino could get a call up by the AS break next season. He battled a minor knee injury and will be on the mound this winter. He's also 21, a consensus top 50 prospect and one of the best SP prospects in all of baseball. Cleveland wouldn't give him, Bibee or Williams up for 2 yrs of Burnes. It's just not how Cleveland operates. Bibee is on most top 100 lists and should be a consensus top 50. If he isn't then he will be in short order unless they call him up early and that's a real possibility. He's a better prospect than Burnes ever was and the numbers bear that out. Valera also 21 and a consensus top 100 prospect is in Columbus and showing well. He could very well get the call up early next season should any of OGon, Straw or Brennan struggle. Adames provided your beloved Brewers with 4.4 WAR this year. Rosario provided the Guardians with 4.2 WAR. Adames is 2 months older. The Brewers would instantly agree to this deal and they would be stupid not to, but it doesn't matter because Cleveland isn't gutting their farm system for a deal like this or any really.

bigbat: you obviously don't know what your talking about when it comes to the Brewers. Their offense is very mediocre at best. Losing Adames makes it worse. They need their pitching to do very well to have any chance at gaining a wild card spot or being competitive for the NL Central crown. The reason they didn't make the playoffs last year is their entire starting staff other than Burnes, missed significant time with injuries. Losing Burnes and possibly another SP because of money, leaves another gaping hole. It's imperative the Brewers get SP who can help immediately. Even if Espino or Bibee made it up later in the season, the Brewers could easily be out of contention by then. Rocchio's numbers are what they are. The Brewers have their #5 prospect Turang (.286/.360 drove in 78 runs at AAA) ready to step in immediately IF they trade Adames. I didn't say anything about your beloved Rosario. However even you can see how ridiculous it would be for Milwaukee to take him on. He is a rental and will be getting money very close to what the Brewers would have to pay Adames. The Brewers couldn't care less if Valera is a consensus top 100 outfielder. They have their own #1 prospect Chourio #7 MLB prospect is an outfielder. # 2 a consensus top 100 is an outfielder. #3 a consensus top 100 is an outfielder. #4 a consensus top 100 is an outfielder. Their #8 and #11 prospects are also outfielders. So it's actually the Brewers who would be stupid to do this deal. I think the whole thing is moot because the Guardians are too smart to give up so much capital for only two guys who they probably aren't going to re-sign.

First off, I agree with BigBat that you have the value of the Cleveland prospects a little low... If anything most places have them rated below what they actually are... Fangraphs and Baseball America have Guardians prospects all screwy in Cleveland's fans minds... Some are not even rated yet could make their MLB debut in 23, while others are rated and its like, Who is that guy... and I am someone who can name most of the guys from A ball and up... Cleveland still had around another 10 players to make their MLB debuts in 23 (Will Brennan isn't even rated by Fangraphs last I checked and neither was Kwan...) If Brewers wanted to rebuild, they would take the deal, but you are right Cleveland isn't willing to do this deal... Just like you don't want Valera, Cleveland really isn't interested in Adames, not with so many MIF prospects plus the emergence of Gimenez in 22 since he is a plus Fielder at SS or 2B... Cleveland has no interest in Adames. Now Cleveland would love Burnes, but no way are they willing to spend that price and by what your words, it sounds like outside of minor trades, Cleveland doesn't have the prospects you would like the Brewers to get...
