6Add to my previous trade, I'd like to see the Guards get another bullpen arm.
I like the Chourio/Rooker starting point and don't have a problem with including Alexander. But Fox does nothing for the A's, he's redundant with Chourio in the fold, so I'd rather see his Lynchburgh teammate Jackson Humphries (4.8 BTV) as the 2nd piece.
I will be honest... I'd be very surprised if Cleveland even made Chourio available... IF they did, they wouldn't want a pure DH back in the deal since the new coach likes to rotate the DH spot and doesn't seem to want a pure DH... Also the draft allowed Humphries to be available, but I have a hunch the notoriously bullish Cleveland FO will want like 10 value for Humphries not like 5 or less... Trying to actually make a deal for Cleveland can be a pain since the FO does things a certain way *sighs* Fox by the way... I don't like him as a prospect so I think he's gonna be dealt to whichever team still likes him...
Thanks for the note on Fox. And I'm OK with Cleveland's FO valuing Humphries at 10... just as long as he's in the return with Chourio.
Oakland would likely have to add a prospect like Naylor plus maybe one more in the deal back to get Chourio plus Humphries... They are gonna be super bullish on those two... And it would have to be Naylor (possibly Clarke I believe) since they want to extend Josh Naylor and having his family in the organization would keep him in Cleveland...
Why does Cleveland need another RP? IF they do it would be a veteran Lefty which Alexander is, but honestly he hasn't actually been all that good. Baseball Savant hates his work and Cleveland would have to option and/or DFA someone who has been better than him. IF he was 25 maybe, but they aren't doing that for a 35 year old pitcher...
