3Down vote for the A's. Their biggest need is pitching, preferably guys that can project from the middle of the rotation and forward. Bubba Chandler is a much better fit here. Harrington would be fine as the +1.
I disagree with the fact that their biggest need is pitching. Let’s be real, they need everything but they have two 50 Grade pitchers, which only 6 teams in total have, and they have three 45 grade pitchers which only 8 teams total have. They also just selected 3 pitchers in the top 10 picks of the Draft (one graded at a 50; one graded at a 40) and 8 from picks 11-20. As for hitters, they only have one 50 grade bat and zero 45 grade bats. I think this trade is pretty solid tbh. I don’t understand the downvotes on it (probably because people are obsessed with downvoting here). Termarr has great plate discipline and just needs an organization to help get his bat alive, and Branigan draws a good amount of walks and has cut down the strikeouts. Since you brought up pitching, that’s why I have Harrington in here. Chandler would be too much to add with TJ.
The A's '24 draft class featured 3 college infielder in their first 4 picks, so why would they then focus on a 2B prospect in a Rooker trade? The organizational concerns are Pitching, CF, 3B... Johnson doesn't affect any of those spots. Brannigan and Harrington are fine as secondary pieces but they can't make up for Johnson being a bad fit. The A's have MI depth with Gelof, Wilson, Muncy, Hernaiz and that's just the guys they have in AAA and above.
