Down vote for the A's. Pitching is the priority, with 3B a strong secondary concern. CF is also an issue. This deal offers up 3 guys who'll need a fair amount of development time to cover the same position.

Once again, pitching is not what I would call a “priority”. Debunked that in my other comment. Cover the same position? What are you even talking about? Stafura is a clear SS. Stewart is either a 3B/2B, and Cabrera is looking more like a 3B, but has the athleticism and arm to handle a corner outfield spot. Also, look at the A’s right now. A couple years of development isn’t exactly a bad thing for them. I’m sorry my friend, but you really have to look into things before making comments here. It’s not helping anyone when it comes to giving fair and accurate information.

You're mistaken on two points. First, if I'm wrong about the A's needs it's not because of a lack of looking into the matter. Second, I haven't seen all your videos (and I don't say that as a slight) but from what I've seen "Team X needs more pitching" is a recurring theme. When you look at the trades the A's have made since the start of their teardown... pitching has been a focus. And the position players they've acquired had predominantly been from the upper minors. None of the Reds prospects above meet either of those criteria. Now, if you want to talk about what the A's should do going forward... how they should focus BPA... then why does your Pittsburgh offer feature a 50 FV prospect while the Reds lead with a 40+ FV? My personal opinion is that the A's should hold on to Rooker unless they're getting a clear-cut Top 100 prospect, plus a friend or two. He's a DH and will turn 30 this Fall. But he's also got a 166 wRC+, is making league minimum, and has 3 more years of team control. Even better for Forst... the A's don't have any salary committed for 2025 so they can even afford to pay Rooker his Arb-1 salary! I realize this is most likely the high point of Rooker's trade value but they don't need to settle.
