1The Royals are building something for the future and might even be a playoff team in 2024, but they need to fill holes in their current roster. The Pen and outfield appear to be their biggest problem areas this year (and in the future). This trade helps fix the Pen by sending the Rays' set-up man to the Royals in return for 2 intriguing reliever prospects and a far off catching prospect.
