1Matt Mclain is the 2nd baseman of the future and due back this year. Torres insurance/rental in case Mclain does not come back this year or struggles. Torres is FA after this year. Yankees need relief pitching therefor an ok RP Sims who is a FA after this year. Jones gives the Reds their outfielder they need for years to come even if he might not be ready till 2025. Will Benson will make a nice bench piece for Yankees when a RH starts. Anyway may not a perfect trade, few are. Anyway this was my thoughts since there were Yankee/Reds trade rumors swirling around. What say y'all?
