1Angels get a long term guy at second in Edwards plus a flippable prospect in Arias if they feel the middle infield is too loaded. Marlins admittedly get a boom or bust guy in Jones, but man if he hits? Chisolm is not going to be part of the next playoff roster. Jones would be. Yankees in a separate trade move Gleybar’s salary off for D tier prospects. To national league preferably. Also Grisham DFA’d or traded in a roster crunch since worst case scenario Chisholm or Verdugo move over to CF temporarily. They need multiple pieces of infield help ASAP. Jahmai Jones should not be hitting fifth and playing second base. Period. They also need to fortify their bullpen. My one Yankee prospect untouchable is the Martian. Unfortunately this year has sucked due to injuries or underperformace by the other core prospects (Pereira, Hampton, Lelane, Warren). Legrange (injury), Jones and Urias (performace) value is still down, but the pedigree is absolutely there. Ideal playoff roster for Yankees assuming no injuries-except for Rizzo-who will be phantom IL’d for the rest of the year (injuries of which will 1000% happen), but still… SS-Volpe-R RF-Soto-L CF-Judge-R 2B-Chisolm-L DH-Stanton-R 3B-Rengifo-S LF-Verdugo-L (Dominguez against lefties) C-Wells-L (Trevino against Lefties) 1B-Rice-L (Lemahieu against Lefties) Bench: C-Trevino-R 1B/3B-Lemahieu-R SS/3B/2B-Berti-R (release JD Davis) UTL-Cabrera-S OF/DH-Dominguez-S SP: 4 man R-Cole L-Rodon R-Stroman L-Cortes Bullpen- -Long Relief- R-Gil R-Schmidt -Middle Relief- Release Kahnle as needed RP-Estavez-R RP-Hamilton-R RP-Marinaccio-R or Tonkin-R -Setup- LP-Scott RP-Weaver -Closer- RP-Holmes
