Red Sox get two former All Stars and Gold Glovers. Happ is very versatile and can play any position. Boston needs a second baseman that’s good right now if they want to make a push and they get one of the best in the game. Happ would probably wave his no trade clause to keep playing with his buddy Nico and to be on a contender team. Heck the Cubs can maybe pay half his remaining salary. For the Cubs it’s extremely simple what you’re getting in return. Cubs are a future team and this helps soo many holes. Solid trade for both teams

It was the Nico Hoerner show in SF yesterday, you sure you want to trade him? Red Sox pass, you’re looking to wrong team to move him to, and Happ is not an option for Boston, Canaria is fine as a throw in but not in this deal. Solid trade for the Cubs but no help to the Red Sox, if you want Teel it has to include Steele.
Yeah and he can be amazing for the next 2 months…. It doesn’t matter. Cubs aren’t winning anything rn or even next year. Cubs only have a limited amount of players they can trade for prospects that have Value and Nico is definitely one of them.
