Cleveland doesn't have Naylor available... They will not make the playoffs without him, period...

JakeBlocker13

I guess this is more of a thought for the off-season. It’s likely Cleveland tries to add controllable pieces rather than pay Naylor. Luciano is a nice top 50 prospect, along with some other solid young pieces

Fair assessment, but I feel like Cleveland will find a way to keep Naylor. I feel like every casual fan in Cleveland knows Naylor and enjoy his personality so they gotta try to keep him there long... Plus I don't see Cleveland trading for Luciano and Yastrzemski even if they can't keep Naylor... I feel like would need a way different package...

JakeBlocker13

Interesting. What package do you think they would go for assuming they decide to move Naylor? I figured Luciano would be at the center of the deal because he's a top 50 prospect with a ton of potential with the bat, Black is a near top 100 prospect as well.

Hmm... Let's say IF Cleveland doesn't get Naylor extended and decide to move on from him since they have Manzardo and it's next off season... I'd probably say Black, Whitman plus one, the plus one being a bat that doesn't have to be added to the 40 man... Naylor would be a rental, so not as pricey, but they would still want a lot... Right now, Cleveland isn't listening to any offers for him...

JakeBlocker13

Yeah and the problem is, I imagine in that situation they would want a bat, but beyond Luciano and Matos they don't have those bat trade chips. And Eldridge isn't on the table

Cleveland is a bit harder to predict since they are very closed lipped, but IF Naylor is available it's likely 2-3 solid prospects with one being a legit SP prospect and a legit hitting prospect. I don't think the hitting prospect has to be MLB ready though... But I am betting they want a near ready pitching prospect... They will ask for the moon and nothing less...
