I think the Red Sox should consider buying out 27yr old Jarren Duran’s 4 arbitration years and tack on 4 more years with a 9th year team option or a $5m buy-out with a $5m signing bonus for a guaranteed $120m 8yr deal for ages 28 through 35, (‘25 - $5m signing bonus + $5m, ‘26 - $7.5m, ‘27 - $10m, ‘28 - $12.5m, ‘29 - $15m, ‘30 - $20m, ‘31 - $20m, ‘32 - $20m, ‘33 - team option $22.5m or a $5m buy-out).
