2Brewers refuse immediately. There is almost no value for Milwaukee. They don't want another OF and Schwellenbach isn't much of a prospect. The Brewers would be far better off keeping Adames and getting the comp. pick.
I'm intrigued by the potential of Spencer Schwellenbach. In 2021, the Braves drafted him out of Nebraska in the 2nd round. He had TJ right after. It was known that he was hurt so he fell to the Braves. He was a 2-way player in college, missed 2 seasons due the the injury. In 2023, he looked good in A-ball, was promoted and played in the Futures Game. Sure. he has a ways to go and it's an uphill battle. His fastball plays but in order to advance, he'll need a better slider and/or change-up. Being a top 100 prospect isn't unreasonable to imagine. If he can deliver on his potential he might debut in 2025. I disagree that "Schwellenbach isn't much of a prospect".
