7Cabrera likely starts the season on the IL and if the Marlins want to have much of any chance to make the playoffs this year then they should probably get what they can for him before his value falls any further. As of now Xavier Edwards is quite low on the Miami DC and with relatively no power and few games logged at his eventual positions(CF/LF) there probably isn't much of a market for his services. The A's can use both this season without needing either to win games. If Jacob Miller can get back the missing MPH on his fastball he's a future mid-rotation SP and if not he's still a #5 or useful bullpen addition. Sears provides the Marlins rotation two things it's currently in need of most: IP and a history of staying healthy. Stripling can also start the year in the rotation while easily transitioning to the bullpen as Miami's SP come off the IL. Seth Brown brings HR's to a power deprived offense and J.Diaz is an IF bench bat with an option that could potentially be the starting 1B next season.
Seth Brown brings HR's to a power deprived offense 19 in 401 Projections sure to go down in miami. you talk like he can hit 25 to 30 hrs a year . Ross Stripling no thanks close to 5.40 era in 2023 and close to 12era in spring training Jordan Diaz no thanks does not replace Xavier Edwards. marlins weather keep Edward Cabrera with more up side then JP Sears plus you don't know what your talking about saying .Xavier Edwards is quite low on the Miami DC ? who are they ?
but you are making higher Projections then mlb and espn . and i read seth numbers in 1204 at bats 59 hrs . and know his Career batting avg.is 227 mean he not hitting a lot in Oakland. Ross Stripling last year numbers where 5.36 era and down year in inng pitch . i don't see why he be fit in miami . only 1 good year in last 6 year. and marlins want to use him as a starter. witch i don't see him as. he never proven he's a boucback candidate . J.Diaz is an IF bench bat with an option that could potentially be the starting 1B next season. Jacob Berry be 1b before him . and Nick Gordon IF bench bat be choice first. im sure marlin and A's put better deal together . looking at Total Value
Thought Berry was being moved to COF but saw that he hasn't logged any innings there so maybe he's staying at 1B. Plus I doubt he's ready by opening day next year but stranger things. If the Marlins can't use J.Diaz and don't want Stripling then maybe they'd prefer someone like Hogan Harris(2.1). If you know which players you like or don't like then you should post a trade. The difference in value here is due to Cabrera and Edwards' injuries. Neither are likely to play the entire year so it's an estimate of their adjusted value.
did i read that right ? you made The difference in value here is due to Cabrera and Edwards' injuries. Neither are likely to play the entire year so it's an estimate play .. when be back in lineup in 2 to 3 day . which i already know Edward not in marlins everyday lineup. and Cabrera will start this season . not opening day . plus you saying you can lower player value over this site that already include it. i already know Edward not in marlins everyday lineup.
With trades like this, don't give up your day job!
Projections don't matter much and Seth Brown hit 25HR in 2022 while playing almost half his games in Oakland. Spring training #'s don't matter at all especially for a veteran SP. Stripling pitched well two seasons ago(3.01 ERA) but gave up a few too many HR's last season so he's a bouncback candidate that cost Miami nothing more than $. DC is short for depth chart. The rest was already explained.
