11Bring all the cousins and brothers together...
I'd take this if I was Cleveland...
I would be very surprised to see the Guardians trade their comp pick after getting the #1 overall pick.
The #1 overall has nothing to do with the Competitive Balance pick.. The addition of either Susac or Naylor effectively give the Guardians the Comp Balance pick and all the talent that player has without paying the signing bonus attributed to the selection... while not touching the added draft allotment from having the overall first pick.. Never mind having the third Naylor brother or a potential franchise changing backstop a year or three earlier than waiting for the selection to be made later in the summer..
Trading the comp pick certainly has an impact on the #1 pick. Trading the comp pick lessens the amount of pool money that the Guardians would have. I don't see Cleveland trading the comp pick.
Do the math... I won't hold my breath waiting for you to come to the correct conclusion...
Common sense, Gson, fewer picks means less pool money available to use and spread out. Even you should be able to comprehend that, but I guess not. I also won't hold my breath expecting you to be able to discuss anything without being so condescending.
It's not condescension..it's simple math.. and your discussion traits are terrible.. Disagree for the sake of disagreement on EVERY single posted deal involving the Guardians keeps you obtuse.. If you have a difficulty.. stop responding... save everyone your droll and incomprehensible takes..
Stick to your illogical ideas and ideals. You are incapable of seeing any other viewpoint than your flawed one. Thankfully, you are not in charge of the Guardians. I am done wasting my time with you. Your nonsense and bull are just not worth it. Have a good day.
He's not wrong... It would affect the pool money we have... Usually you end up going over slot with the number one pick, so it is better to have that extra pool money if you can... I am in favor of this deal, but you do have to factor in that into the equation.
You aren't wrong, but let's just say IF we did this deal, Josh Naylor was willing to sign a team friendly contract extension... Then you absolutely take it... I don't see this happening in real life to be sincere but I would personally take it...
