As a Mariner’s fan I don’t love the idea of trading away Gilbert, but getting back Casas and Cease would be the type of haul it would require. France, Clase and Locklear are more than mere throw-ins, but France and Locklear wouldn’t have homes with Casas at 1B and Clase could be swapped with most of our prospects in the 6-10 range.

For the Red Sox, they open up 1B long term for Devers with France being a solid option for next year and get their Ace. The White Sox add their catcher of the future in Teel, two very solid prospects in Locklear and Clase and a pitching flyer in Perales.
