Realistic (and great) trade from the Rays’ perspective.
I like Ty France and I want him in Cleveland but where would he play? Cleveland isn't trading Josh Naylor, and they have Manzardo, who is strictly a 1B... JRam has 3B covered so he can't play there... I want Frances bat, but he doesn't have a spot in Cleveland to start... Plus Mooney isn't someone they are willing to part with for so little value...
France is in a serious downward trend and Cleveland can do a helluva lot better than this. Easy no from Cleveland..
If we didn't have Manzardo, I would go get France...
Adding 7 million dollars to their payroll to give up a decent hitting 1st baseman and trading away not only one of their young and better starters for an aging and losing velocity Beiber for one year (and a solid SS prospect in Mooney) seems counter productive to me

I'm not sure if Cleveland would part with Mooney for that value... They signed him for 1 million signing bonus in the 7th round and that's not something they do unless they are extremely high on a player...
If I were a Rays fan I'd say that too. Being a Cleveland fan this deal is garbage.
