Us Rays fans are certainly spoiled. We expect the Rays to find a new “nearly as good as Clase” reliever for a bucket of balls each year. Five years of Clase would be great, but like Rays Fan said, I can’t see the Rays pulling the trigger, even at a significant discount to his $50MM price tag. Rays say no to this trade.

Well, 2 years ago they picked up Jason Adam for nothing. He gave them 63 IP of 1.56 ERA set-up man relief pitching. Last year they traded draft bust Alika Williams to the Pirates for Stephenson. I shouldn’t have to tell you how well he pitched once he got to the Rays. Like I said, Rays are spoiled.
