Twins get the SP they're missing and shed $2.5 million in 2024 payroll. Mariners get their 2B and retain that "payroll flexibility" that they love so much. If they'd rather retain one of the prospects and take on Polanco's contract, the deal could still get done. I think this deal depends almost entirely on what the Sox want for Cease. Are they asking for more than what he's valued at here? And if not, would they take this much bulk or do they want just 1-2 top-tier prospects?
