Max wants to get back to left coast and loves the Braves enough to sign a 7 year 175m extension with Arizona. Then the Braves get an upgrade on Elder with Pfaadt and an upgrade on Arcia with Perdomo. Then Atlanta signs Blake Snell to a similar deal to Max, say a 7 year 188m.

Cool trade idea. I like it a lot. I don't want to see the Braves make this trade but I would like to see more quality trade proposals like this one. Perdomo's good. For Atlanta, I prefer Arcia if only because he's known to them. I don't follow the D-backs as much as the Braves. I don't see how Perdomo is an upgrade over Arcia nor am I ready to call Pfaadt an upgrade over Elder. Elder hung in there all season, Pfaadt is new to me. I'd rather the Braves keep Fried in his walk year. I'm sure he'll pitch like he has something to prove. It's a savvy choice to include the Comp. Bal. pick. Arizona's got a very high pick. Braves might lose picks by signing Snell. Might lose another if Fried walks. I'll be shocked if the Braves offer such a beefy contract to a pitcher.
