4Brewers refuse this undervalue trade. They are trading Burnes because of salary so they aren't going to pay Polanco $22.5M for two years or $11.5M as a rental. Neither pitcher would help at all in 2024. Just not anywhere close to what the Brewers would want for Burnes.
The Brewers pass because the pitching is to weak. Milwaukee doesn't want relief pitchers (Festa) in a trade for Burnes. Polanco is making to much for a rental. The Brewers have to do much better when they trade Burnes or just hold on to him until the trade deadline.
I don’t see Festa as a reliever at all, but to each their own. We will see. Thanks!
Festa 100% helps in 2024. No question. But more can be added, I agree. Cash going out from MN could work too. At least this could be a starting point
