3Was trying to work out a trade that featured Emerson Hancock for Marte but couldn’t come up with anything that really made sense based on the Baseball Trade Values values. Was sort of surprised to see that Brash matched up pretty equal to Marte.
its actually a great trade for both I'd think. Brash is a lockdown bullpen arm that could be stretched back out to a really good starter if they wanted. And Marte solves a lot of the M's problems.
I’d deeply miss Brash. He has some of the most beautiful stuff in the game. However, an everyday 3B is more important than a high leverage reliever, so I’d do this trade. The Reds, however, would probably demand a true starter, rather than a potential closer to move Marte (e.g. Cease, Woo or maybe even Burnes).
