1Graveman is just had surgery and is done for the year, and payed 8 million. Houston is up against the cap, so will they go over? Maybe they pay the A's in prospects to take Graveman's contract. A's GM said they were going to have payroll at about what last year was (not that I believe him). Would it not be better to spend on prospects, rather than bad FA in a year the team will suck? Last year the A's spent 30 million on bad FA, and effectively could not trade any of them at the deadline. The ones they did move they got nothing back.
