In this hypothetical world, while the brewers and dodgers are working out a blockbuster, the brewers deem Busch’s defense a non fit given their affinity for defensive minded players and ask the dodgers to get Ferris (from a rival no less). Ferris is the last piece. Brewers get tons of controllable talent to load up for the Churio years and dodgers get SP stop gap till Ohtani is ready (and a leg up on extending Burnes). Adames and Williams add to the super team

Even if the Brewers are unsuccessful at extending Adames, they would turn this down because of not enough pitching coming back if they are dumping both Burnes and Williams. They wouldn't want Ferris, a teenager in a trade of this magnitude. If the Brewers were confident Vargas could be a big league 3B, they would propose these changes. Dodgers keep both Ferris and the overrated Lux and swap in Hurt & Vesia.
