3(If Jorge Soler doesn't work out for them) Sox get their non-lefty DH bat and an ace, Marlins get big league outfield help, and a 2B who is ready for his shot in MLB and is now blocked by Vaughn Grissom in Boston. Arraez can also move over to 1B, where his defense won't be as much of an issue. Finally, Marlins add a young long relief-type pitcher who was excellent last season.
Yes,but the problem if your asking for a pitcher and that's the object of the trade then send a starting MLB pitcher back.Marlins have three injured pitchers,
This posted trade already includes an MLB Starting Pitcher, Josh Winckowski. Red Sox used him as a long man last year to monitor his innings and Cora has already stated that he is to be stretched out this spring as an SP, and that he’s part of the Red Sox starting rotation this year. I think the problem for the Marlins with the trade lie in the inclusion of Yorke. Switch it to Rafaela (who the Marlins would play at SS) maybe include Pablo Reyes SS/2B/3B at a 2.3 value making it a slight overpay on the Red Sox end and I think you might just have a blockbuster trade worth considering for both teams.
