Real trade. Moderate overpay by the Dodgers, since they were under the gun to clear two roster spots.
Yankees finally add another lefty for the bullpen with good peripherals. Vivas is a low power, high walk, low strikeout prospect, could be a great depth addition. Vivas is a year younger than Sweeney and is already at AAA.
NYY has immediate need for VG/ LAD will use Yarbrough instead. Sweeney is bigger and weaker Hit than Vivas but possible Power to be developed. NNY has sure win here, because of trade values of both returns.. LAD needs Sweeney to play some MLB time as SS and develop power for win-win outcome.
Sweeney a potential 3Bman of the future for the Yankees, Gonzalez is a big zero. Vivas, like every other PCL player, has inflated stats. A bad trade for the Yanks.

Vivas is younger than Sweeney and has spent a little bit of time in AAA. Gonzalez has a great OPS-against vs. lefty hitters.
