2I like Manoah's upside. Braves need controllable arms with Fried, Morton probably gone after 24. Murphy and Ritchie are high upside kids and further decimate Braves farm but Manoah could be a horse if he turns it around.
I'm an Atlanta Braves fan. I don't closely follow the Blue Jays. I'm very shy about buying into Manoah's upside. Why shouldn't I be? What does upside mean for a player that has laid such a goose egg in 2023? I don't like this trade for the Braves. There's just too much uncertainty for me to be real about envisioning him as a mid-rotation guy, if he's even that. If he's that 4.1 fWAR pitcher going forward then it's great. I'm skeptical.
