Padres your trading players of little use to Marlins.They need a GOOD catcher and SS.

Higgy's not half bad. Good defense and pretty average hitter among catchers, plus affordable. As for SS, I thought Padres were pretty set with Berti and Brujan, also thought Chisholm could play. Thought they were looking more for OF and DH with Soler gone, in which case Pereira and Grisham fit the bill of affordable, MLB-ready talent. And with these additions and Soler's payroll gone, they could spend on a relatively cheap shortstop on a short-term deal like Anderson, Rosario, or Crawford
