3Brewers don't get any pitching so they are not interested. The definitely don't want anything to do with Croneworth or his huge contract.
Otis, where did you get Cronenworth's contract was only $8M? He signed an $80M contract that the Brewers would have to eat. If the Brewers trade Burnes (they already lost Miley, Lauer, and Woodruff) they must recoup pitching for him. They can't afford to waste Burnes on position players. The Brewers are trying to extend Adames so they wouldn't need Merrill.

Hey i also included the #9 prospect in baseball btw. I could see the Padres throwing in a pitching prospect, but nothing huge. Cronenworth's contract is extremely reasonable too, it's $8 million per year, Brewers are just fine cash wise.
