Gotta be one of the worst boards I’ve ever seen. Maybe cease and burnes alone would work but adding all the extra stuff makes it not a chance

I agree that there’s no chance that this gets agreed upon. The thought process here is that the Padres may wanna go all in this year with Soto and all they spent last year, so what do they do for 2023? And what are the goals for the Brewers and Sox? In this trade idea, they get high end/star potential talent. Where would Salas and Merrill go in 2024 mlb draft? 1 and 2? What would a team trade to get a top 2 pick? Salas and Merrill have really high value here and the only way a trade gets close to even evening out is with Sox/Crew sending a bunch. The chance of Vaughn being included in a real life deal is quite small, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Brewers deal from their OF surplus and including Houser to get a younger SP isn’t out of the question either.
