The insanity in Minnesota continues ! Buoyed by the outrageous trades on BBTV's for Vlad Guerrero Jr. and having already acquired Miller and Woo from the Mariners, the Twins ownership and FO come to their senses and determine now is not the time to be cutting payroll when a TV deal to broadcast their team's games will surely happen in 2024...won't it? Realizing that Toronto is trading Bo Bichette and everyone else on their roster for peanuts, the Twins decide to go "ALL IN" for 2024 and beyond and overpay for for Vlad Jr. by gifting the Blue Jays Polanco (who they covet anyway) and the replacement for Vladdy at 1B, Jose Miranda. The Twins will gladly pay Vlad Jr. truckloads of money to be their 1B and cleanup hitter, because they now have an affordable rotation and young position players everywhere but SS (Correa) and bench/DH/injured list (Buxton). Toronto is thrilled to move the franchise out of Canada and have a team in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in the North Woods League.
