3No for O's. Higashioka kills the O's, but O's have McCann as backup catcher and they are satisfied. Chase Hampton seems like a nice prospect, but not for Cano. O's can't trade Cano based on shortage of dependable arms in the bullpen.
I agree with that but how long will Cano last compared to Hampton
O's need pitchers for '24. Hampton only pitched half a season in AA last year. O's already have similar promising prospects in AAA, and AA as Hampton (for example, McDermott & Povich). Cano could pitch for several more years or could be toast by May. Hampton may never make the majors, or could pitch 15 years. Who knows? Have fun, you are proposing trades!
