If soto..could take over..for.hernandez.. But a 1year..deal . Naaa.thats not what mariners are looking for

one year of Soto not enough. He is Boras client , which means bidding war to retain. Plus, a long wait, late signing. to me, there is no reason to overpay in BTV to get that one year.
Depends on if you think Woo is an overpay. To me he's far and away the least polished starter on the M's. His secondary stuff is terrible and the M's need offense badly.

The Mariners outfield consists of J-Rod and nothing. Teoscar is a free agent and Kellnic had one good month.
J-Rod, Kelenic, Marlowe, Trammell, Clase, DeLoach... They definitely could use a premiere bat like Soto, I doubt they'd give up that much for what is almost CERTAINLY going to be a one-year rental.
