4No Mets would have to give up two more prospects but that trade wouldn’t fit on this
The lack of pitching returning to Milwaukee kills this before it gets started. The absolute last thing the Brewers want or need is outfielders or catchers and in this they get 3. Kerr is a mediocre relief pitcher. Kim is a rental. There is nothing about this that makes any sense for the Brewers.
Why would the Mets and Padres (or any team) trade for Burnes & Woodruff? They’re both hurt aren’t they?Damaged goods, in their last year of arbitration, who’s giving away 30 for them? If the Brewers are expecting to get 30 for them they’re seriously mistaken.
So the Brewers get to punt 2024 by dealing their two best pitchers and get in return 3 arb eligible players and two middling prospects? That would not only get Matt Arnold fired, but also the guy who hired him.
