2Explain why any of these teams will do this... It makes no sense for any of them
the only team it helps is the Yankees They dump Donaldson's contract, and get a starting OF and potential starting pitcher, if he comes back healthy. But they have to give up Montas, a proven starter who didn't live up to expectations after the trade last season.
