1The Rangers two biggest needs right now are relief pitching and left field, not necessarily in that order. I've read some reports that Boston could be considering dealing Verdugo and signaling a bit of a rebuild. Texas addresses both of their primary needs in this deal as while Verdugo lacks the same star power as somebody like Reynolds, he's more than capable at the position and should provide them with a top-of-the-order bat. Schreiber unquestionably becomes the best arm in the pen. Boston gets Ragans who is very much ready to go this year and White who is right around the corner. Ragans gives them flexibility should they choose to deal Sale. Gutierrez is still very young and won't make the leap to the majors for several years, but the Red Sox should be familiar with him as he's from the same academy as Devers. His raw power should blossom and will play well in Fenway when it's his time.
