Let's assume the Dodgers want the three players from the Guardians.. why wouldn't the Dodgers and Guardians make a deal whereby the Dodgers keep their 2B prospect & value (Busch; 27.0) with the Marlins SP staying there (Luzardo; 28.0).. The Dodgers prospect depth is more than adequate to fill in whatever the Guardians would need.. also, assuming the Dodgers top five (Cartaya, Miller, Vargas, Busch and Pages) are off the table.. What it comes down to.. if a deal can be made by and between two teams.. why muck it up with a third team.. I makes the deal significantly less likely.. no?

Yes more likely, however my feeling is that the Guardians want to upgrade their rotation, especially with a left hander. I’m not sure the Guardians have the bat that they would be willing to move and Marlins would want. Dodgers want a shortstop without increasing payroll. So brought them into the deal. If just a two team trade and the dodgers added pepiot and outman, I’m not sure that is as appealing to the guardians. Thanks for the feedback

Dodgers would have to move a player like Muncy because they wish to stay under the tax cap since Rosario is due 9 million... Cleveland would be all for Pepiot and Outman, I just don't know if Cleveland would move Karinchak in any deal...

Do you think the Guardians would take on Muncy in a deal that included Pepiot and Outman?

I don't see why not, depending on what they give up. Cleveland would see Muncy as more of a Zero or negative value in a sense, rather at 1.5, but if they can get the talent they want they will take him.

Ed, I think this mix of teams can certainly work a deal out to help all 3 fill their needs. This deal could be better for the Dodgers if they were to get a good LHH CFer/OFer in the deal. Right now, Benson is not that and why would they want him while having Outman on their roster? You might be able to convince them to take Brennan because he could very well be an excellent leadoff hitter while giving them good defense in CF, but I'm not certain of that. Luzardo makes this deal acceptable for Cleveland, but I don't think the Marlins would be satisfied with addressing their OF need with Palacios alone. They're probably looking for a bigger bat than his if they're giving up Luzardo, but I could be mistaken. I know I would be.

Thanks for the feedback. I could see Dodgers wanting Brennan. I'm sure your right about the Marlins wanting more of an outfielder for Luzardo.
