2Braves take on Beuhler's cost so Dodgers get under the tax and can be free to make moves next offseason.
I dig this idea. It's fun. There's certainly no way the Dodgers are trading away Buehler. Buehler's too dreamy of an asset. Recovery from a 2nd TJ's more realistic since the days when Kris Medlen staged his comeback so I have big hopes for the end of '23 and next year for him. The Dodgers had already committed to going on over the CBT luxury tax threshold when they pursued guys like Syndergaard and JD Martinez. Ships have sailed. Frank McCourt's gonna spend money like he wants to and has he's done for pretty much the past decade. But it's a neat jab at a big team like L.A. However, the Braves aren't far off so we best not throw rocks at people in glass houses. :) I like the zest in putting Ynoa and Buehler together in a fictive trade.
