2The only reason they would even think of trading Woodruff is to dump salary. No way they add about $8.5M - $9M for Torres. The Brewers let Wong go to make room for Turang or Urias at 2B. They wouldn't want Pereira, another OF. Milwaukee would want pitcing help if they trade Wooduff. This deal was dead before it even got started.
With Wong gone, Milwaukee could use a 2B. Everyone knows the Brewers won’t be able to hold onto all their starters, and Gleyber could help fill out their lineup fairly well. Yankees need one more starter and especially one under control for 2024 also. Salary is almost a wash.
